Darksider, Ulic & The Jedi Chronicles
[page number, circled: 68]
Ulic has been placed under a
death sentence by his own
family[inserted: or by the ruling powers of Alderaan.]
[margin: The father will not contradict the
ruling. "You will die. It must be."]
* [inserted: But] The old Jedi has ideas of
his own. "No Jedi is condemned
forever. Give your son to me,
Qel-Droma. I will make him new.
That is the way of the Jedi, to
bring their own back to the
Light."
The father resists.
[margin: <He's torn both ways.>]
But at some point Nomi Sunrider
arrives. A scene between Ulic
and Nomi. Nomi argues for Ulic
being handed over to the old
Jedi Master for discipline and
rehabilitation.
The father relents. [inserted: (even tho there is [inserted: still] a deathmark on his son)]
* Ulic, on the other hand,
is far from redeemed. He is
confused inside, still under
the influence of the Sith
curse. He agrees to re-
apprentice himself to the old
Jedi, but plans all along to
escape.
The Republic and the council of
Jedi Masters have to be
informed of Ulic’s capture. One
group wants Ulic’s head, but
wise old Jedi prevail. Ulic’s
new teacher is given a year to
rehabilitate him.
* Almost as soon as they
arrive at the old Jedi’s world,
Ulic escapes, with the help of
his female cohort, and returns
to his bounty hunter life.
[margin: or gets involved in some other plot [uncertain: aspect?],
F.i. the DROIDS & [uncertain: Yavin IV?]
-- he might hide on [uncertain: Yavin IV?].]
[margin: Intro the [uncertain: reigning?]
Dark Lord of the Sith]
He is hunted by everyone -- the
Republic, the Jedi, and by the
old Jedi who is his new Master.
[margin: Vima important in the recapture.]
