Darksider, Ulic & The Jedi Chronicles

[margin: 82 (circled)] A series of action scenes in which he is put to the test, and makes the great sacrifice that releases him from the grip of the past. For instance, he saves the old Jedi Master’s life and loses something previous of his own -- a limb? An eye? * When Vima returns from the war, it is clear that Ulic has changed, although he is not yet completely redeemed. Vima and the old Jedi know that Ulic has been made whole. But to the Republic and to the Jedi, he is still an outcast, even a wanted man. [margin: Here they begin the pilgrimage] * There is a terrible attack upon the lands of the old Jedi, the new Dark Lord, working in concert with bounty hunters, the brother warlords, and anybody else who wants Ulic dead. (Don’t forget, there is a bounty on Ulic.) * The old Jedi is killed, and so are many of his apprentices. [margin: the ship blows up] But Ulic and Vima escape, and Masterless, Ulic decides to take up the life of a wandering Jedi. He vows to hunt down the new Dark Lord of the Sith and the evil warlords as well. Vima has the choice of returning to her mother, but she wants to go with Ulic, as his warrior companion. * * *
