Early Sith questions & Freedon Nadd

146 * Meanwhile, Satal Keto and Aleema manage to meet the Nadd cultists. They are introduced to a "Dark Side wizard" who is very interested in the book of Dark Side secrets that they have. He offers to teach them how to use these secrets if they will let him make a copy of the book. They agree, but after teaching them a few fundamental methods of "opening the book", he confiscates the book and has Satal and Aleema taken prisoner. [margin: Social order broken down in Iziz... Or who holds the palace? Military men?] Satal and Aleema are brought before old King Ommin. Ommin recognizes their potential as agents who can spread the Dark Side power throughout the Galaxy. He is teaching them a few more elementary secrets when his sanctuary is attacked-- * Ulic and Nomi and other Jedi battle their way into King Ommin's hideout to save Arca. There is a face-off between old King Ommin and Nomi. Nomi's power, combined with that of the other Jedi, is able to defeat the old man and free Master Arca. [margin: in a Dark Side prison -- must be powerful indeed, a SITH instrument. Nadd's unholy treasures.] As they finish off the group around King Ommin, Satal and Aleema slip away with their book. They manage to leave the planet along with other foreigners being evacuated by the Republic. [margin: Do they take Sith stuff w/ them?] * Now we come to the ultimate battle, as Arca shows Nomi how to use her power with greater effect. Together Arca and Nomi meditate the last great battle, and the forces of the Freedon Nadd Uprising are defeated. [margin: Recovery of Nadd + Amanoa's [uncertain: remains?] Does spirit of Nadd Show itself?? Good idea! How does Ommin die? Where does the Republic fit in?] * We end with a scene on the Dxun moon, as the bodies of Queen Amanoa, King Ommin, and the sarcophagus of Freedon Nadd are entombed by Master Arca and the other Jedis.
