Early Sith questions & Freedon Nadd

145 They steal a book from the Museum library, which purports to reveal many ancient Dark Side rituals and secrets. Satal is very excited by the book and tries some of the incantations without success. Then Satal and Aleema hear about the "Freedom Nadd Uprising" that's happening on Onderon. It is alleged in the news reports that Nadd learned Dark Side secrets from the ancient [underlined: Sith], perhaps the most powerful Dark Side group in the history of the Galaxy. Satal and Aleema decide to go to Onderon and find out more. * They arrive in the midst of a raging battle -- Republic troopers with rocket packs are sky-jumping from huge Leviathan ships over the city of IzIz. Aleema wants to turn around and head home, but their ship is hit by ground fire and they crash in the city. They escape the wreck and flee into the streets of IzIz. [margin: Republic has taken the city?] * Nomi Sunrider and the other Jedis arrive on Onderon and meet with Ulic Qel-Droma at Modon Kira's castle in the Onderon wild. [margin: include Jedi from other planets.] The Jedis and Beast-Riders are forced to do battle as Modon Kira's castle is attacked by the Naddists. Nomi tries to meditate the battle, but finds her power blocked by the Dark Side meditations of a hidden opponent. Ulic guesses that her hidden opponent is King Ommin, influencing the battle through the Dark Side.
