Dark Lords working notebook

[circled: 52] * Meanwhile, Eclipse is captured, and sent back through hyperspace on a collision course with the Galaxy Gun. This could be a "suicide mission", in which Solusar & Lando have to jump at the last second. The Galaxy Gun is destroyed, the Emperor is dead, the kids are safe. Luke has lost two Jedi...but Solusar, Vima are ok. And there is promise of other Jedi. * * * [margin: What if they turn the weapon around + blow up Byss? Or it gets knocked crazily by Eclipse, spins + fires wildly hitting Byss?] > Ysanna chiefs released from carbonite. > Where's Fett? > Brand's matter transmitter. > Salla/Shug (probably only mentioned) > What if the Imp Commander has a "lost fleet" that still thinks Vader alive? ([uncertain: K?] did this.) > Do the Ysanna chiefs have [uncertain: magic?] to catch a spirit (eg. Emperor?) > What if the "greater evil" subsumes the Emperor? > What if his spirit rushes into something else by mistake ... a beast ... and the beast is held prisoner. Or one of the giant [uncertain: worms?] of Tatooine. > The Holocron -- figure in plot ... at least at end, w/ prediction of things to come.

The descriptions above follow Yale’s finding aid. These photographs are a selection from those boxes; individual images have not yet been assigned to exact boxes and folders. Image numbers follow photography order, with occasional gaps.

These are working papers: some ideas were approved, some changed, and some never reached publication. Most transcriptions are automatic; checked passages use the corrected text.

There’s plenty to explore. Have fun looking!
