Currently the only way a Jedi could affect computer reality would be through using a keyboard or other mechanical interface. A cyborg, on the other hand, can have a direct mind-to-computer link. Therefore the Jedi’s mental abilities suddenly enter (with him) into whatever is the cyborg’s experience of computer reality. Presumably the mind of a cyborg (such as the Lobot character) operates continually in a kind of cyberspace dimension. Put a Jedi into that dimension and you have the possibility of bringing the Force to play in ways heretofore unseen. Not that the Force itself goes into the circuits and zaps the chips -- that would only burn out the computer! But the "the ways of the Force" suddenly can act and adapt to the the special reality created by computers. The implications, as I see it, are enormous, considering that the entire structure of Galactic civilization depends on computers and links between computers. However, Skip Shayotovich and Sterling Hershey have brought up the fact that in the RPG the combination of man and machine makes it harder to use the Force. See my replies to them.
